Dr. Allen Bohl

Dr. Allen Bohl is a native of Vermilion, Ohio. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in1970, a master’s in education from the University of Southern Mississippi in1973, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in1978.

His extensive career in athletic administration began as an Assistant Athletic Director at Ohio State, and then continued as Athletic Director at the University of Toledo, Fresno State, and the University of Kansas. For nearly 25 years, Bohl provided impressive leadership for athletic programs across the nation.

In 2006, Bohl was inducted into the Vermilion High School Hall of Fame and in 2007, was honored as a member of the Erie County Gallery of Achievers.

Al and his wife, Sherry, live in St. Augustine, Florida where he is working on a variety of projects and playing golf!! They have two sons, Brett and Nathan, and a daughter, Heidi Sherwin. They are also the proud grandparents of four grandsons and four granddaughters.

Brett Bohl

Brett Bohl is the Founder and Executive Producer of the Celebrate Sports Tour ~ Inspirational Speakers from the Sports World and co-author of Getting to Thanksgiving, a novel about parents passing on values to their children that features lessons learned from sports.

Brett is recognized as a dynamic leader, encouraging speaker, and enthusiastic fundraiser. Over the last 10+ years, he has had the privilege of speaking and booking motivational speakers in front of audiences across the USA at conferences, corporate events, military programs, churches, high schools, and to collegiate sports teams. He has accepted the challenge to bring a Celebrate Sports Tour program to high schools in all 50 States.

Before leaving the corporate world in the spring of 2004, Brett worked in Educational Software, Technology Consulting and Executive Search/Recruiting Industries, receiving numerous awards and recognition.

He is a graduate of the University of Toledo, earning a degree in communications, while playing football for the Rockets, 1988-91 and a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Brett has been blessed with two children – son, Brady Allen and daughter, Taylor Lorraine.

Sherry Bohl

Sherry Bohl is the mother of three children and Nana to eight grandchildren. She has had an outstanding career as an elementary teacher. Through the years she has taught students from kindergarten through fourth grade. Her goal was to help each child grow as an individual while gaining personal best academic skills necessary to guide them through their lives.

Sherry earned a bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master in Education from the University of Kansas. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and was highly regarded for her teaching methods and commitment to education. Sherry retired in June of 2014 as a first grade teacher in the St. Johns County School District in St. Augustine, Florida after teaching for over four decades in Ohio, Mississippi, California , Kansas and Florida classrooms.
